Pain Management Therapy is a treatment used to specifically target the delivery of medications (usually cortisone) into a joint that is causing pain. It is especially helpful in treating chronic tendonitis, osteoarthritis and post-traumatic injuries such as chronic pain in healed fractured joints. It can also be beneficial for patients awaiting joint replacement surgery, as it allows individuals to maintain their daily routines until their surgery date. For many patients pain relief can last up to six months after treatment.

Common areas for treatment are:

  • lumbar spine
  • knees
  • elbows
  • wrists
  • sacroiliac joints
  • nerve roots
  • hips
  • facet joints
  • shoulders

Canada Diagnostic Centres offers:

  • Appointments available in 1-7 days, (types of injections vary by location – please call to confirm)
  • Covered by Alberta Health Care and require a medical referral
  • Service offered Monday – Friday

To book an appointment please call 1-877-420-4CDC (4232)
