Chief Sonographer

Canada Diagnostic Centres is currently seeking a Chief Sonographer to join our team. You will play a crucial role as a member of the management team and will participate in the development of CDC’s future planning. In addition to overseeing the daily operation operations of the Ultrasound Department, you will have a team of sonographers reporting directly to you.

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Diagnostic Medical Sonographers are responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. Responsibilities include daily operations of the sonographic exam room, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). The sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is selfmotivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.

This position involves working closely with the Medical Director and staff Technologists to ensure daily clinic workflow is maintained with a high standard of patient care and efficiency.

The CDC Chinook clinic hours of operation have been extended for 2012 to allow for greater flexibility in patient bookings. This March, the CDC Chinook location will remain open on the following Mondays:

March 9, 12, and 26.

Ultrasound until 9:00pm

Injections until 7:30pm

PAIN MANAGEMENT THERAPY

Pain Management Therapy is a treatment used to specifically target the delivery of medications (usually cortisone) into a joint that is causing pain. It is especially helpful in treating chronic tendonitis, osteoarthritis and post-traumatic injuries such as chronic pain in healed fractured joints. It can also be beneficial for patients awaiting joint replacement surgery, as it allows individuals to maintain their daily routines until their surgery date. For many patients pain relief can last up to six months after treatment.

hips
facet joints
shoulders
