Radiology (X-Ray): What To Expect
We make it a priority to ensure you are at ease during your X-ray scan. Canada Diagnostic Centres provides private change rooms and a comfortable cloth gown for you to change into. You may also be asked to remove your jewelry. One of our technologists will assist you to the X-ray room and help you position the body part on the X-ray table. When necessary, sandbags or pillows will be used to help you hold the proper position. A lead apron may be placed over your pelvic area to protect it from radiation. You will be asked to hold still while the technologist takes the X-ray. You may then be repositioned to obtain several views.
You are free to leave and resume normal activities after your exam.
